UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2017/2018 Gnu Ladies Choice here
The Details:
So capable is Jamie Anderson that we reckon she could maintain her winning ways even while competing on a rotting 2×4 with bungee cords for bindings. However, thanks to the good folks at Gnu, the queen of slopestyle doesn’t have to compromise even a little when it comes to board performance.
The Gnu Ladies Choice is a park board first and foremost, with a fairly stiff flex that holds up over any size of feature. The sintered base will deliver brave riders past the knuckle to the landing, and the three-wood blend in the core helps it take a beating from first lift to last.
The rocker bend in the middle of the profile comes in handy both on rails and in powder, making you unlikely to hang up/go over the handlebars (delete as appropriate). Meanwhile the camber sections under the feet work together with the serrated Magne-traction edges to deliver grip and control when engaging the edges – and because it’s asymmetrical, even simple turns will feel great on this.
It also wouldn’t be a Jamie Anderson board without some sort of environmentally-friendly angle, and in this case the topsheet is made from beans. For even more green points, check out her take on the Gnu Eco Choice too.
