When you’re spending a big chunk of your day hunting for new spots or waiting for someone else on your crew to nail his shot, you want to make sure you’re warm enough. The Annex jacket has a good amount of insulation in the body (60g) – it’s been toned down a bit in the sleeves to make it easier for you to move your arms.
By adding elbow articulation to the jacket’s design, Session’s expanding the possible range of movement – making it easier to tweak into grabs and tricks. There’s also a good amount of features stashed in the jacket: media pocket, audio routing and a tuck-away hood. You’ve also got a sleeve pocket to place your lift pass in and an interior pocket to keep the valuables safe.
Ranking at a very reasonable 10K/10K in waterproofing and breathability, you can rest assured that this jacket has your back even when the snow starts to become heavier. It doesn’t really have enough about it to cover you on a full-on backcountry bender but, to be fair, it’s not made for that.
