Bonfire’s added loads of new outerwear to their 2020/21 collection. The Pitch Insulated jacket, we’re happy to report, is in the ranks. Part of the Bonfire Gold Collection, which blends the brand’s signature style with the essential ride-ready fabrics and features, the Bonfire Pitch jacket is as ideal for resort riding as it is for spot hunting out on the streets.
If you often find yourself shivering whilst up the mountain, choosing an insulated jacket over a shell one is the first step to stop you from getting hypothermia. The Bonfire Pitch is one of the most insulated jackets in Bonfire’s Gold Line, a safe bet when you want to ensure the continuation of blood pumping round your body.

Even if the insulation keeps you warm initially, you want make sure that the fabric is waterproof too and will prevent the insulation from getting wet. A waterproof rating as high as 15K is definitely going to keep you dry, even if you decide to ride some powder in between the pistes.
When you’ve chosen to go for an insulated jacket you want to make sure the fabric is breathable too. The 10K breathability rating allows the moisture created within the jacket to escape as it evaporates out into the outside air, leaving you dry and comfortable throughout the day. For this to work most sufficiently though, you should make sure you’ve chosen the best mid-layer and best base-layer underneath.
As for the fit, you can easily adjust the hem to your liking. The Powder skirt paired with the jacket-to-pant connection also makes it harder for the snow to get in from underneath.
Articulated elbows and cuff adjustments have been placed for added comfort, whilst the sleeve pass pocket makes it easier for you to keep track of your lift pass.
The Bonfire Pitch Insulated jacket doesn’t lack in comfort or features and is a great option if you want to stay warm whether riding the resorts or streets.
