LIB TECH BANANA MAGIC – WHITELINES REVIEW
Lib Tech aren’t a company to rest on their laurels, and the Banana Magic is certainly proof of that. Built from organic basalt fibers, with not a shred of fibreglass in sight – this is a new breed of snowboard.
In concept, it’s essentially a pimped out version of the world famous Skate Banana, but the magic that goes into this board is born out of a drive to push eco-minded snowboarding through the roof. Their Columbian Gold Core is ultra-light and ultra-strong and made from ‘fast growing long fibered farmed eco timbers’. The top sheet is a bio-plastic skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ratio in the industry. If you’re looking for a guilt free ride, you can definitely stop searching now.
As per usual, Lib Tech have put just as much effort into making this stick an incredible ride. Their enhanced rocker profile offers catch-free freestyle as well as a floaty ride in powder. And the seven points of contact on the magne-traction edges ensure you’re not slipping out on the hard-pack. Slightly stiffer than the original Skate Banana, this is a bit more of an all-mountain slayer, but essentially if you’re prepared to fork out that little bit extra we doubt you’ll have much to complain about.
