This mid-sized Melon is a favourite amongst many. The Melon Jackson goggles have been refined and improved from last season, making them an even better choice for all the shredders on a budget looking for a good mid-sized lens to take them through the storms.

Melon’s basically answered the prayers of quite a few of us who are looking for quality goggles but aren’t willing to break the bank.

Together with ZEISS technology, Melon provides lenses of exquisite quality. This year, they’ve taken their collab even further, and as a result they’re now introducing the ZEISS Sonar lens to the market. This specific technology provides improved contrast and detail, making charging down the mountains an even more pleasant experience.

A pair of fogged-up goggles is something we all like to avoid at any cost and Melon’s found a good way to prevent this, even during the biggest of dumps. Basically, they’ve placed the foam right on the inside of the goggles preventing the snow from sticking to it, and thus providing a consistent airflow through.

If you’re looking for value for your money, the Melon Jackson goggles are definitely worthy of consideration.

Tester’s Verdict

Stella PenttiWhitelines

“These things saved my life. Or my day at least. My goggles fogged up really bad and I felt absolutely useless on the slopes, I could literally not see anything. Lucky for me the guys from Melon were around, so I was able to try out a pair of their goggles on this snowy powder day.

“Even after some occasional tumbles in the heavenly soft powder puffs I was happy as could be because these things simply did not fog up”

I was really happy with the Jackson’s, the clear lens made such a difference, and I was able to continue enjoying shredding all the powder we had been blessed with that day. Even after some occasional tumbles in the heavenly soft powder puffs I was happy as could be because these things simply did not fog up.

I really liked these goggles, mainly because of the clear non foggy lenses and comfort. The shape might not be ideal for my narrow tiny face but then again I may be a bit too fussy about things like that.”
