Flux GU 2015-2016 Women’s Snowboard Binding Review

The Details:

Flux may be keeping things simple with their two-letter naming system, but their bindings are anything but. The Flux GU is their women’s freestyle model, designed to please the feet of park rats everywhere.

It’s more flexible than the GS, and therefore isn’t as suitable for melting it down firm corduroy first thing on a winter’s morning. You’ll find the GU at its best when you’re messing around at slower speeds, buttering the muffin in between side hits.

Of course, there’s the park too; you’ll feel the benefit of those flexible highbacks as you press boxes and tweak grabs like nobody’s business. While they might be bendy, they’re far from fragile, and the tough nylon construction can withstand a beating.

Comfort has been prioritised in the GU, with fine-tuning adjustment available at both the heel and toe to ensure the perfect platform for your boot. The 3D-moulded straps then get you locked down without any unwanted pressure points.

From first lift to last, expect your feet to get an easy ride with these.

TESTER’S VERDICT:
Tammy Estenmintsnowboarding.com

“These bindings are the comfiest bindings you can put your boots into. Fact.

Comfy, responsive, easy to use – that’s all you ever need from a pair of bindings, and Flux have this dialled.

My only little niggle is that they have taken off the standard-style forward lean adjuster, making it more tricky to adjust forward lean.”
