Comfort and convenience are the keywords when it comes to the Flow Omni, they’re a binding that women with a penchant for the luxurious should definitely take a look at.

The strap over the top of the top of the foot is lightly padded to offer support without thick pressure points, it also automatically raises up slightly when the highback is reclined to offer easier entry and exit. The strap has two ratchets to allow for pinpoint precision when tightening up (you’ll be able to get the perfect fit each time, and each is lockable so no loosening up as you’re riding along).

“The footbeds are slightly angled to allow for better flex through the knees.”

Asymmetric highbacks are ergonomically designed to offer premium support and comfort whilst still staying lightweight. The highback flexes easily side to side so you’ll have a smooth and mellow ride, with the heel to toe responsiveness staying rapid due to the fused cable.

For those who like to rock wider feet, or who are still figuring out their perfect stance, the footbeds are slightly angled to allow for better flex through the knees.

A mid flexing binder built with comfort in mind but with no sacrifice to performance, the Omni is an all-round mountain slayer.

Tester’s Verdict

Corinne MayhewMayhew Snowboarding

“I have to say, I struggle to understand the benefits of the Flow bindings. Having tested the Omnis, I’m still not convinced. I’ve coached several female riders who love their Flow bindings but… have they ever tried anything else?

“If comfort is your main goal in a binding while riding, then the Omni’s definitely deliver”

I didn’t feel particularly secure in the Omnis, as the lack of those familiar toe and ankle straps were unnerving, especially in the park, and the build up of snow in the backcountry proved very difficult to get rid of when strapping back in on a precarious traverse. Maybe it’s something that you get used to and learn to deal with but I struggled to keep the high back free of the underside of low-sitting chairlifts when approaching the top, resulting in quite a painful front knee.

Having said all that, if comfort is your main goal in a binding while riding –  then the Omni’s definitely deliver. There were no pressure points on the top of the feet and the lock/unlock mechanism was quick and easy to use!”
