The Flow NX2-CX bindings are built to charge, so if you feel like your riding is in need of more speed these bombproof bindings will give you that extra push. Making things even more fun, is the strapless entry system – you can simply slide your boot into the binding and off you go.

Some say the Flow bindings are solely made for beginners due to their rear-entry system, but the NX2-CX’s beg to differ. These bindings are super stiff and responsive, making them an ideal choice for the more aggressive souls. Throw the carbon-infused highbacks and the aluminium alloy baseplates into the mix and you’ve got yourself a pair of powerful and precise companions. The highbacks aren’t only strong but also lightweight, providing you with a perfect weight-to-performance ratio.

Like the NX2, the NX2-CX’s are also part of the baseplate NX2-Series. These baseplates are made out of lightweight aluminium-alloy – something which helps to make them the responsive bindings they are. Add the stiff flex into the mix, and you’ve got yourself a nice piece of kit that’ll give you some extra speed on your turns.

Stiff and responsive, lightweight and comfortable, that’s what you’ll get with the FLOW NX2-CX bindings. In addition to that they’re also super easy to strap into, so if time is of the essence… get yourself a pair of these asap.

Tester’s Verdict

“I’ll be straight up and honest here. I’ve slated Flow bindings many times over the years without actually having much experience of them. So it was time to step up and put them properly to the test.

“There is no doubt that this is a super-comfortable and highly responsive binding”

The NX2-CX is one of Flow’s top-end bindings, with all the tech trimmings and a super-stiff response rating. Let’s talk about the ride first of all. There is no doubt that this is a super-comfortable and highly responsive binding. It’s great to ride and there’s definitely something to be said for having the strap pressure spread across your whole foot rather than across two narrow-ish straps. Once you’re riding, these things just work, with no slop or pressure points and great response.

With that out of the way, what about the Flow entry/exit system? That whole hinged highback, super-fast entry, snap it up and ride away thing? Well, I can now say that I’ve given it a proper try and it doesn’t do much for me. If I left the ratchets tight enough to get decent riding response, then I couldn’t get my foot in and out easily with the highback folded down. If I loosen the ratchets off and tighten them back up every time, then what’s the point? I generally found these awkward to get in and out of on anything but a flat, hard-packed surface and for me it’s actually faster to get in and out of an ordinary set of strap bindings. However, this is a very comfortable and responsive binding for those who like the Flow system”
