Scandi luggage brand DoucheBags dropped in on the board transporting game with a unique and novel re-imagining of the humble snowboard coffin. In short, this lightweight-yet-durable snowboard bag allows you to easily adjust the length – up to a maximum 205cm – to match your steed. When your next trip to the mountains is a painfully long way off, you can roll it all the way up like a sleeping mat to massively save space in your pad.

With the bag fully unfurled, you lay your board in the bag and simply roll up the excess length until you reach the tip. Then a sturdy handle is attached via buckles that fit onto sections of webbing on the top and bottom, keeping it all in shape. When you empty it out just roll the whole thing up and attach the handle, and the DoucheBag (now roughly the size of a large handbag) can be carried and stored way more easily.

‘Rib Cage’ construction allows the bag to be lightweight and compactable as described above, yet offers sufficient travel protection to your hardware, clothing and anything else you’d routinely jam in your bag for a trip. The fabric is heavy-duty nylon for the most part, though the top panel is more rubbery and water-resistant.

Inside, the DoucheBag Snow Roller is effectively a large volume of fillable space; there are a couple of zippered pockets to separate a few bits and bobs, but like most board bags this is fundamentally about securely transporting your gear to the mountains. At maximum it can store a whopping 150 litres, and because it weighs a mere 3.8kg it means you can definitely pack a few extra items without feeling the wrath of budget airline policy.
