http://mpora.com/videos/JtM7oXOVu Jamie Nicholls takes a run through the Tignes park in preparation for what was supposed to be today’s slopestyle elimination round. Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been the best and things have had to change.
Earlier in the week there had been some concern among the slopestyle competitors about the conditions being good enough to safely hit the course. Last night things got even worse, as a storm brought more snow and thick fog. Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson and his crew of shapers worked through the night, but to no avail. Interestingly, the final decision was put in the hands of the riders themselves, as they were the ones having to ride it. The majority decision was carried, which means tomorrow will now be a two-run final for all 24 riders.
