Will Jackways and Friends

Will Jackways is one of the most talented Kiwi riders out there at the minute. Being born in the New Zealand shred capital of Wanaka on South Island meant he started riding at a young age, and his eye for backcountry features and steezy laid-back riding style have seen him make his mark not only on the Southern Hemisphere scene, but also over in North America. He currently spends at least half his year hanging out with all the other antipodeans in the backcountry Mecca of Whistler, BC, but returns to Kiwistan every summer (so that’s the New Zealand winter) to put some time in on his home mountains.

These two episodes are the first in a series of podcasts filmed earlier this summer (or winter if you’re watching with our backwards cousins from down under) and show the dramatic reversal of fortunes they had with the weather. According to our local sources, the start of the season was “shut bru”, but after this storm rolled in, it became “sweet iz!” Or something like that…
