If you ever need reminding that the rider is what counts rather than the snowboard, then take a look at this new part from Stephan Maurer. The Burton Fish was first conceived by Terje as a powder-specific snowboard – deploying a wide nose and a tapered tail inspired by the ‘fish’ shape surfboards in order to float easily through deep snow and eliminate back leg burn. This past season though, his Swiss team mate Stephan ‘Mu’ Maurer has been using the Fish as his go-to stick for pretty much any conditions, even competing on it at the 2010 Burton European Open and laying down a double backflip during the slopestyle event!
Don’t ever blame your board for your lack of freestyle skills again ;)
