A couple of weeks ago Scottish GB Freestyle Snowboard team rider Jamie Trinder hit us up with details of his new web series that he has started up along with his buddies and fellow GB Freestyle Team riders Henry Shackleton, Ollie Jackson and Lewis Courtier-Jones. The idea of #Parklife is to capture their lives, travels and tricks in photo and video – check out their new website here.
The boys are based out in in Courchevel, France for the season (at the Pleisure Holidays Drop Inn) and will be hitting up the DC park in Meribel, as well as the Courchevel and Val Thorens parks. All of the #Parklife edits such as the banging new one above – which includes guest rider Tom Hunt, frontside 1080s, double frontflips, a whole bunch of flips off rails and one breakfast hurling knee injury – will be filmed 100% on iON cameras.
Jamie Trinder said: “Using iON cameras allows us to film high quality footage easily without having to spend all our time setting up and dragging around fancy and expensive camera equipment. As riders, we need to train as well as film and without having our own personal camera man, the iON Air Pro helps to do both with ease. The iON is small, tough and lightweight. You don’t even notice it in your pocket when you’re riding”
Henry added: “Getting footage is always so hard because everyone wants footage of themselves but no one wants to carry the camera bag and be responsible for it. So the bag sits at the top of the park and you hope no one nicks it. In this modern age, we all have iON cameras in our pockets!”
If the quality of riding in this first edit is anything to go by, this is gonna be a tidy little series. The guys are trying to get more followers on their Facebook page so as an added incentive, Ollie (man child) Jackson will be waxing his chest on camera when they reach 1000 likes…
