Over the past decade or so, JP Solberg has carved himself into one of the most stylish backcountry freestylers in snowboarding, releasing memorable part after memorable part with Absinthe Films. And as one of the founders of YES snowboards, JP has continued to put his much cherished snowboard style on film in the two YES movies.
Here’s his full part from their most recent offering, YES. It’s a Movie Too and it’s pretty much worth watching for that huge switch backside 540 opener alone. We find it incredible how JP still goes as big as he does after all these years and love the way he has always managed to make the mountain look like his own private playground. Yep, in our humble opinion he really is still one of the best riders to watch stomp shit in the backcountry.
Just before this section cuts in in the full movie there’s a little throwback to the infamous pink bunny suit from his legendary Transcendence part. Although you’ll have to check out the full thing on iTunes to see it!
