This year’s Winter X Games in Aspen (a.k.a. WX 15) has introduced a new event called Real Snow. In a nutshell, eight of the world’s best jibbers have produced an exclusive 60-second video edit on their favourite street spots, and these will be judged by a panel of industry pros. The winner will be presented with an X Games gold medal at the main event and a cheque for a cool $50,000.

The list of entrants is, as you’d expect, heavy hitting: Jeremy Jones, JP Walker, Dan Brisse, Seth Huot, Louis-Felix Paradis, Nick Sauvé, Simon Chamberlain and Joe Sexton.

You can watch all the entries below and, if you’re so inclined, vote for your favourite over at espn. The fans’ favourite will win $2500.

We are probably most impressed by JP Walker’s section. It’s not necessarily the best of the bunch, but a lot of people have been writing him off as over the hill in the past year. With this part he’s proved he’s still got what it takes to mix it up with the jibbing big guns – those mctwists on the roof that looks like a tagine pot (yes, you’ll know it when you see it!) are ace!
