Here’s an interesting behind the scenes look at what goes into coming up with a new collaborative snowboard. Art-driven Canadian snowboard brand Endeavor team up with Canadian men’s apparel company Ransom Holding Co. to design, construct and test a unique collab snowboard that pays homage to both brands’ heritage.
Watch as ideas are discussed and sketches are drawn up before the board is cut, layed up, fitted with exclusive pre-tensioned fibreglass and pressed in Endeavor’s new Vancouver-based Archetype Lab. After that it’s out into the wilderness of Northern BC for some rigorous ‘product testing’ that basically involves camping out in a log cabin and riding powder.
A good one to watch for anyone interested in the snowboard construction process from initial inception all the way through to testing.
