If you haven’t heard already, Jamie Nicholls did a bit well at the Burton Rail Days event in Tokyo on Saturday. Here’s a highlights video from the event which shows us some of the better hits from the qualifying stages as well as the three winning runs. Great to see Jamie featuring so heavily in the qualification highlights: he did finish in the top position after all – how stomped is the 270 on, 270 off at 00:45? Going up against a truly world-class international field in the final (the likes of Zak Hale, Brandon Hobush, Wojtek Pawlusiak and Jonah Owen) in the final, Jamie held his nerve and rode away from a super-tech cab 360 to switch nosepress in his first run which was good enough for second place but couldn’t better a 50-50 gap to lipslide by Forest Bailey (call us biased, but we still think that was scored a little too highly). Overall it’s another fantastic result for our lad and we look forward to seeing more podium shots with Jamie in ’em over the next few months.
