And so the Burton High5 Tour 2010 comes to a close, with the final leg in Milton Keynes. And what a leg it was! The park shapers pulled out all the stops to create an epic ‘urban-inspired’ setup – even installing lamp-posts on the side of the obstacles! Locals and visitors alike proceeded to tear the park to shreds, with Jonny Russell coming down from Leeds to pull out a few moves, while the likes of Little T and George Wooley also ruled. Alice Blake board-sliding the donkey kink rail and Gareth Andrews front boarding the same were just a couple of the highlights from this action packed evening. A worthy end to the tour if ever there was one.
With the action now over, the competition is really on for the Golden Shovel park shapers award – can MK, Braehead, Hemel, Chill Factore or Tamworth prise the ‘Best shapers in the UK’ title from Castleford’s grasp? We’ll have to wait and see. Keep your eyes peeled for the shaping results when they come in, and click more to see who won what on the night at MK.
