The park crew in the UK’s northernmost dome got pretty crazy with Burton’s five sepcially-built obstacles, arranging them in two banks, giving riders the option of the angled butter box or the gnarly bench as they rode down the slope. Further down the special Scottish ‘Tennents Super-T’ feature offered riders the choice of a hip style transfer with nicely shaped bowls on either side and the Whitelines Wallride embedded in one wall. Inspired by the innovative park setup the locals stepped up to the plate, with the likes of Angus Leith, Danny McCormick and Helen Fox killing it.

Katie Ormerod, who’d travelled up specially for the event was also throwing down, whipping out a sweet 50-50 to front one out on the donkey kink. Meanwhile local lad Angus Malloch was rinsing out, slaying the down flat down with a perfect cab 270 gap to front board (1.12 on the video) – how sick is that?! He’s also the dude who rapes the bench at 1.50 with a half-cab to back 3 out. Man’s got style! The fact that he didn’t make the podium just goes to show how high the overall standard was.
