http://mpora.com/videos/9V1NJ4gOq The second episode in Absinthe’s Flipside series carries the Ronseal-esque title ‘Early Season Salt Late City’. It’s well worth a watch though, because some next level snowboarding was thrown down on the mean Utah streets this year – in fact star of the show Dan Brisse lands the ender part in the final movie, Now/Where. Brisse, along with his jibbing buddy Cale Zima, are using pick-up trucks and these new snowboard-specific bungee devices to tow them into previously unrideable terrain. Keep an eye out for the uphill ledge launches – basically turning buildings into concrete kickers; it’s the kind of stuff you daydream about as you’re walking back from the pub imagining everything covered in snow. Dan Brisse also gets medieval on a rail’s ass by dressing as a Salt Lake City roadworker and brazenly sawing off the anti-skate/anti-snowboard knobs. His monster gap to boardslide alone is well worth the effort.
