If you’re anything like me (by which I mean British) you’d never dream of claiming to be “good” at snowboarding. But secretly you probably think you’re “OK-ish” right? Not the best, but not the worst. Well, think again.
Yup, that right there is a child of 8 years old doing front and back 5s off sizeable kickers, and boosting twice his own height out of the halfpipe. I know right? It’s almost enough to make me want to burn my boots on the spot, and never set foot on snow again.
I can make all the excuses I want: Dylan Heinstein may be an American, he may live near the mountains, and he may be of that age where he just bounces rather than feeling pain. But he’s still going to grow up to be a better rider than I could ever hope to be.
Oh, and to the inevitable commenters who point out all the skidded landings and the slightly sketchy style, he’s 8 years old. 8 years old ffs! When I was his age I’d probably only just stopped shitting myself…
