The British Freestyle Snowboard Team have dropped the latest episode of their series, One Team To Sochi, featuring the professional bad ass that is Billy Morgan.
Hampshire born and bred, Billy talks about his sudden change in career choice after his first season in Avoriaz and Morzine, and how it led him to take his first ever Big Air crown in 2010 at the British Championships on his third season. This win encouraged him to join the British team, and now Billy will be representing in Sochi next month.
As his first Olympics quickly approaches, 24-year-old Billy explains how an argument with a box in Castleford last year left him with two bust knee ligaments, just months before Sochi. The pressure was on for Billy to make a full recovery and he was unable to return to the snow for training until December.
But knowing Billy Morgan, he’s bound to pull the tricks out of the bag in Sochi and head for a win, ligaments in place or not, and we are all going to be rooting for him.
