Europe’s got plenty of good summer shred options – Les Deux Alpes, Saas Fee, Norway and even Glencoe if you’re prepared to hike for lines – but it’s fair to say that North America has it dialled in better than anywhere else.
The Shredbots certainly think so, with Torstein Horgmo and friends making the most of Colorado’s extended season by logging sessions both up the hill and at Woodward, Copper Mountain’s state-of-the-art training facility.
Meanwhile their co-conspirator Darcy Sharpe has been lapping Whistler like a man possessed. Between the two, it’s enough to make you want to sack off the beach holiday and book a flight out west.
