What does an Olympic slopestyle silver medalist do in the summer? Go snowboarding of course.
Stale Sandbech is the man, not only can the Norwegian wizard shred, he does with with effortless style and without a care for what the current trends in snowboarding are: whilst the rest of the world was getting hyped on triples, he was nailing those ultra-clean flat spins that ultimately got him second in Sochi. Oh, and he put down one of the first triples anyway.
In the latest episode of Station to Station we get to see a bit of behind the scenes shredding on the set of the forthcoming Oakley snowboard movie. We don’t know much about the project, but with probably the heaviest team on snow right now it’s bound to be awesome.
For now though, check out Stale and some of his Viking pals having some fun laps in Folgefonna, including one of WL’s favourite riders of the moment: Len Jørgensen. The fun-loving Scandi shred criminal is as on form as ever here, snaking down the drag lift halfpipe with Mr Sandbech in tow.
Olympic legacy or not, this is how to have fun on a snowboard.
