We don’t care if it’s snowboarding wizard Seb Toots or the guy who serves the coffees at the mountain restaurant – It’s never interesting to watch someone get on a lift.
It’s worth sticking it out in this case though, as once M. Toutant gets onto the slopes of Saas Fee, he absolutely lets rip. There’s the usual precise kicker and rail slaying that few can match for consistency, but the real joy is seeing him launch off cat-tracks and blasting powder pockets.
His Canuck crew isn’t too shabby either – Tyler Nicholson, Darcy Sharpe and a fully-healed Mark McMorris put down enough hammers to make you leap to your feet for a passionate rendition of O Canada.
