It’s all well and good jet setting around the world to enter comps and film video parts, but there’s just something special about riding your home resort with the crew you grew up riding with. Last season Werni assembled a bunch of his Zillertal homies to shoot a film paying homage to the valley they call home.

Local Surroundings is shot exclusively in Austria, with the boys scoring some all-time conditions down the valley, throwing up big roosters and picking up face shots galore. A big cheese wedge provides endless opportunities and some great footage, with Tom Tramnitz going above and beyond to get the perfect shot.

A huge kicker session at Zillertal Arena is definitely one of the highlights of the movie. Werni Stock brings the goods with his trademark aerial dominance and flawless style.

They also head over to Mayrhofen’s famous Penken Park, often noted as one of the best in Europe and tear shit up down the huge kicker line.
