A season edit from a 46-year-old?!

OK, so the first thing we’ll say before you watch this edit is ‘manage your expectations’. This isn’t a Kyle Mack park masterclass, or Jamie Nicholls in a snowdome, or Coonman. But it’s not the bangers that make this vid – it’s the fact that its star, Patrick Streule, is 46.

Yes, 46 years of age. The Swiss shredder was born in 1968, the same year that Led Zeppelin played their first gig, the Royal Mail introduced first class stamps and Martin Luther King got shot – and only three years after Sherman Poppen built his legendary ‘Snurfer’. Christ, he’s even older than James Stentiford

He’s by no means the only guy that age who still snowboards, but we’re hard pressed to think of another who still puts together a whole season edit. And it’s good stuff, when you consider that he’s not in a position to just shrug off the odd knuckle or taco. Sod golf – this is what we want to be doing when we’re his age. Inspiring shit, so it is.
