It’s a scary world out there, now more than ever. But at least we still have snowboarding, right? RIGHT?! Wrong. Amidst all the Coronavirus chaos, France has now gone into full lockdown, as of Wednesday 16th March, for a minimum of two weeks.
All but absolutely essential travel and movement has been banned – including snowboarding and splitboarding – and our gear editor has decided to stick it out in the Alps rather than return back to the UK.

In a futile attempt to make the most out these troubling and unchartered waters, we decided to try out a quick video blog, providing a little insight to what the lockdown looks like from Tignes – a mountain resort, tucked up at 2100 metres in the French Alps.
Episode 1 looks at the first 24 hours following the lockdown. Episode 2 onwards will look at his troubling descent into madness.
