In a time where the average joe viewer has access to a ridiculously high-standard of snowboard clips in the palm of their hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It can be hard for a classic snowboard video to hold its place in the conversation.
But that’s certainly not proving to be a problem for ROME’s latest offering – SWARM – which lands as an instant classic in the snowboard video annals. This is a snowboarder’s snowboard flic, and a true reminder that ROME’s rebellious spirit not only lives on, but stands proudly in the streets with a tall can in one hand and a shovel in the other.
Featuring Noah Coville, Micah Coville, Maggie Leon, Casey Savage, Lolo Derminio, Derek Lemke and Drake Warner. The crew crawled the East Coast and Canada hunting out the heshest spots they could find.
Maggie Leon throws hell to leather with some absolute heaters including a gnarly wall-ride to fakie. Noah Coville rode like a man possessed with a mission from the gods to beat the steel at its own game, and had this been on VHS rather YouTube, Derek Lemke’s part would have already been worn out with how many times it’s been rewound and rewatched.
