Is This Converted 1950s Fire Engine The Ultimate Shred Wagon?

Austin Smith shows us his amazing mobile 'micro-dojo'

Ben Ferguson isn’t the only one who’s been making the most out of Mt Bachelor. Despite spending most of his time travelling the world in search of powder, Austin Smith calls Mt Bachelor home.

Specifically, he calls this converted 1953 GMC fire engine home – or as he puts it, ‘my micro-dojo’ – and it’s become an extra reason to stash the passport for a while and take the time to appreciate home turf.

Complete with solar panels, coat racks, stove and even a back porch, it’s got all the mod cons you could want. Naturally there’s also a rack on the side for all of his signature Nitro ‘Quiver Series’ boards.

He’s pretty proud of his homemade boot-drier, and quite right too – it’s ace. In fact the whole truck is epic, and if you’re anything like us you’re already dreaming about getting one of your own.
