Vail Resorts | New Epic Coverage and Pass Holder Credits

It's good news for Pass Holders!

It’s no secret that snowsports enthusiasts the world over were left disappointed after many resorts announced early closures due to the current global pandemic. While these measures were certainly necessary to save lives and to stop the spread of the virus, they were a slightly bitter pill to swallow.

Despite all the uncertainty that still surrounds the situation, Vail Resorts have done more than offer their sincere condolences and shrugged their shoulders when asked by their customers what compensation was on offer. They’ve come up with a series of schemes to ensure that their customers aren’t left short-changed or open to disappointment in the future. First of which is a newly implemented insurance programme ‘Epic Coverage’, that will be completely free for all pass holders. It’ll offer protection and refunds against job loss, injury, resort closures due to circumstances like Covid-19, and more.

Furthermore, credits will be issued to existing season pass holders to be redeemed against a future season pass purchase, with a minimum of 20% of the value of their current pass. If you used your pass for less than five days, then you’ll be eligible for a higher amount. Those who didn’t get the opportunity to use their pass at all will be given a maximum credit of 80%. Vail Resorts aren’t offering a blanket solution because each customer and situation is unique, there is no ‘one size fits all’ answer.
