Travis Rice:

Travis Rice opens up proceedings with an edit that is unconventional, tongue in cheek, ripping and just pure Travis Rice. The punters will love it just because it’s Travis and the core will appreciate the fact that it’s one continuous line with the kind of effortless flow that only two, maybe three other riders in the world could pull off with the same sort of finesse. The fact that he also takes a dig at the mainstream perception of snowboarding with that voiceover is just the icing on the cake. If he does win the fan vote (which he probably will) he’s laughing and if he doesn’t, well it’s hardly like he busted his balls getting the shots… A clever move from T-Rice even if it did leave us wanting just a couple more bangers.

Mark Carter:

Why Mark Carter opted to open up his part with what appears to be straight-up animal abuse is beyond us. His part could only get better from that point right? Wrong. The spots are uninspired, the tricks are bland and the edit on the whole didn’t do it for us.

Verdict:

Travis Rice will take this one.
