The Natural Selection Tour is ramping up for the biggest season yet as Hailey Langland, Nils Mindnich, Red Gerard, Kimmy Fasani, Gigi Rüf and John Jackson are some of the first newly invited riders to be announced for the 2023 season. They’ll join the 11 riders who qualified from 2022, and seven additional riders to be announced by the end of the year. All riders will start off with Natural Selection DUELS, designed to bring out riders’ creativity and highlight new zones and snowboarding’s diverse styles.

The winner of each of the Natural Selection DUELS moves on to the next two Tour stages: the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke and Natural Selection Alaska. The DUELS rider match-ups will be pulled from the NST randomizer and announced daily on the Natural Selection Instagram starting in early January.
“This event is so exciting to watch as an onlooker, and just the thought of being surrounded by so many of my favourite snowboarding peers, back in the mountains, gives me the biggest smile,” said Kimmy Fasani, snowboarding icon and 2023 Natural Selection Tour rider. “All the challenges I’ve been through over the last few years, have reminded me how special snowboarding with friends is–and being invited to be a part of the Tour is such an honour.”
The invited riders have been hand-picked by the Natural Selection Nomination Committee to compete alongside the returning riders who qualified for the second stages of the Tour in 2022 including Mikkel Bang, Dustin Craven, Jared Elston, Ben Ferguson, Marion Haerty, Elena Hight, Torstein Horgmo, Mark McMorris, Blake Paul, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and Travis Rice.
