The FWT season opener has been confirmed for this Sunday, January 29, with the weather and snow conditions looking optimal for riders to charge their hardest. The Pyrenees has seen a lot of storm activity of late, and consistent polar air has driven snowfall to lower altitudes. This has ensured the venue is ready for competition and, with light winds and a mix of sun and clouds forecast for Sunday, FWT organizers have given the green light for FWT23 to begin.

Competition-hungry athletes have been shredding the mountain in the lead up to the event, exploring the varied freeride terrain the region has to offer. The level this year looks insane, but who has got that extra bit of spice to stand out from the roster? Returning world champions Maxime Chabloz, Jessica Hotter and Tiphanie Perrotin will surely fight hard to retain their titles.
