Ever fancied becoming a park shaper? Now's your chance.

Ever fancied a job in the mountains? A change of scenery from the grey drudgery of your office job? Silly question, of course you have. What better job than a park shaper? Constant access to a top tier park, like minded colleagues and the chance to work in the snow. Parks are one of Europe’s leading providers of snowpark concepts and have been promoting the freestyle scene across the continent for years. They’ve been shaping Europe since 2002, and now have grown to 46 parks spanning across 5 countries.

Applications are now open for the QParks Shape Academy, the breeding ground for all their top shapers, designers and bully drivers. If you fancy life as a shaper it’s the perfect foot in the door to learn the skills you need to work alongside the best in the business, creating the ultimate snow playgrounds.

As long as you’re at least 18 years old, you’re welcome to apply to their highly rated ‘Shape Academy’, and don’t panic about it being a boys club- The Diamond Girls, the only all female shaper crew in Europe, operate out of QParks in Obergurgl.

You don’t need to have spent your formative years creating masterpieces out snow like some sort of frostbitten Michelangelo (Michelange-snow) to be in with a shot. They’ll teach you all the skills that you need, all you have to provide is a good attitude and a pre disposition against whinging.

One of the tightest perks of the job is being able to sesh the park you’ve hand built, if you’re someone who’s into freestyle or if you’re wanting to get more involved in that scene then what better way to hone your skills that lapping your own park constantly. As a shaper you can expect to work 75-100 hours a month, leaving you with plenty of time to hot lap that tidy little park you’ve had a hand in creating.
