The O’Neill Evolution, one of the biggest halfpipe contents in the TTR World Tour calendar, is gearing up to go this weekend. The event, which combines a 5-star Slopestyle Competition with a 6-star halfpipe comp, will take place in Davos over this weekend. Many of the big names on this year’s TTR circuit will be heading to the Swiss resort to try and up their standing in the rankings, with Antti Autti, Risto Mattila, Elias Elhardt, Peetu and current tour leader Marco Grilc all expected to put in appearances.

Davos will also be welcoming some of the biggest names on the women’s circuit, including Sarka Pancochova, Cheryl Maas, and Kjersti Buaas at the contest. The points on offer at the two conmps are a serious opportunity for all-round riders like Peetu, Antti and Risto and Kjersti to bump themselves up a few places going into the new year. On top of this, there is the added motivation of the $100,000 prize purse up for grabs. Training for the contest starts today, with the men’s halfpipe finals taking place on friday, and the slopestyle on Saturday.

While you wait for all the action (with baited breath no doubt) here’s a little promo video to keep you stoked.
