Völkl combine cutting edge technology with a passion for snowboarding to make high quality products. Everything Völkl does is the result of determined research and development efforts.
Völkl started making snowboards in 1997 but they have been making skis since 1923! The Völkl family have been based in Bavaria since 1875 and were one of the first ever ski manufacturers.
They produced snowboard prototypes in the mid eighties and started manufacturing boards for other companies such as Santa Cruz, Sims and Nitro in 1993. Eventually in 1997 they put their own name to their boards and Völkl is now well known for having a great reputation as serious board makers.
They produce all of their boards at a state of the art facility in Straubing, Bavaria where almost a centuries worth of craftsmanship dovetails with modern technology. In their quest for the perfect snowboard they produce over 2000 prototypes a year and test each and every board with high tech machinery before shipping them out to stores. Völkl uses their expertise, skill and technology to make products that optimise your performance and maximise the amount of fun you have on the snow.
Völkl embrace quality with German precision in a tried and tested design and manufacturing process. Their drive for better products is pushed by their team riders who compete and ride with skill and passion. On the Völkl team are Aline Bock, Michi Stanschitz, Chris Kroll and a load of other unspoken underdogs who absolutely kill it on the mountain.
