Splitboarding may be more popular than ever, but finding somewhere in the UK to rent the gear and learn the ropes has always been tricky. Scottish Backcountry looks set to change that, giving folk a chance to try splitboarding without having to buy all the gear up front.
They’re currently crowdfunding to raise money for rental gear, looking to source £4,500 before the year is out. The perks are pretty spectacular, including rental, tuition and guiding from a qualified Mountain Leader and Instructor who’ll get you earning your turns in no time.
There are dates confirmed for 4 out of Scotland’s 5 resorts, running between January and March, and depending on your preference you can either take a private lesson or sign up with friends.
Simply put, it’s never been easier to get started in splitboarding. Head to the crowdfunding page to find out more, and to book yourself on a course.
