After the people at Sno!zone had plastered the place with 70 tonnes of snow, Kelvingrove park was officially ready and fit for snowboarders and skiers. Normally taken over by skaters and students, it was definitely a change of scenery for everyone watching!
The 80 metre grass slope in the middle of the park was turned into a flat box running into a bank of features including a 10 metre rail and an A frame box with a kicker leading up to a quarter pipe and log stall to end the mass of snowy festivities.
Riders like Katie Ormerod and Jamie Nicholls were out and impressing the spectators with their moves but Kerry Daines took the spoils for the girls taking home a Trespass jacket and a little purse of cash while Andy Wilson won a pair of Rossignol bindings for the men.
