Hemel Hempstead’s Snow Centre and Head Snowboards joined forces recently to offer a cool competition. Entrants got to design their own graphic and the winner would get their artwork put onto a one-of-a-kind freestyle board.
Well, the results are finally in and it was 21-year-old Sarah Yates from Sheffield who beat off competition from 50 shortlisted candidates. Check out the winning graphic below…
We’re pretty impressed with it – to be honest we reckon it’s better than a lot of the crap graphics on the shelves this year! The side boards she’s added are a nice touch and (without wanting to sound like Alan Yentob off BBC4) kinda highlight the idea of the snowboard as canvas. It certainly got the nod from the judging panel, which included UK pipe master Dan Wakeham.
If this has got you feeling creative yourself, why not have a go at our design-a-Whitelines-tee competition. The winner will win our own one-of-a-kind Ride/Whitelines snowboard.
