The organisers of the Roxy Chicken Jam have been in touch to tell us that the European leg of the competition will be moving to a new home this year. The 7th Roxy Chicken Jam Europe will be taking placefrom January 8th to the 10th at the Nightpark in Saalbach Hinterglemm. The last six editions of the festival have taken place on the glaciers of Kaprun and St. Moritz among others, and the organisers thought it was high time the comp was taken back to street level. The move to the Nightpark will allow the jam format competition just 200 metres from the village centre in Saalbach Hinterglemm, meaning more spectators than ever before will be able to see the chicks in action. It will also mean a smoother transition from the end of the displays of world-class riding to the after parties and live gigs which will round off the evenings. It sounds as if the move can only be a good thing, and it looks like this year’s comp is set to be a belter. Watch this space.
