Romain de Marchi signs for Rusty

Swiss snowboarding legend Romain de Marchi has just signed an outerwear deal with the Australian boardsports brand Rusty.

The Australian company will be trying to follow in the footsteps of other surfwear brands like O’Neill and Quiksilver that have successfully made the crossover to snowboarding by launching a new range of technical outerwear. Given that they are new to the market, Rusty has done well to sign such a big name straight off the bat.

In an interview he gave to our friends at Onboard, Romain explained that he would be helping launch the Rusty range as a serious contender in the world of snowboarding. Look out for their range which will be dropping soon.

Romain added: “We were on the same page so I said ‘Ok let’s do this.’” You can read the full Onboard interview here. And just for good measure, here is a video of de Marchi riding at his legendary best.
