On 17th April the Chill Factore in Manchester will be hosting the first ever ‘Oakley Grom Games’ – a day-long snowboard jam session followed by an evening knockout competition with some banging prizes.

The Jam Sessions are aimed at all ages and standards of freestyler and offers a relaxed format in which to lay down your best tricks. There are separate sessions for skiers and snowboarders, and four different age categories: 12 years & under, 13 -17 year olds, 18 – 24 year olds and 25s & over.

The best riders from the Jam Sessions will qualify through to the knockout finals, where they will be joined by a small group of invited pros and battle it out for the goodies – including a 50″ Panasonic plasma TV! Then, after the park has been well and truly torn a new a-hole, everyone will pile into Chillies bar at 9pm for the Red Bull after party, which is open to all riders and spectators.

This is a brand new event for the UK, and with Colum Mytton heading up the special park layout – not to mention X-Games gold medalist Jenny Jones as one of the judges – it promises to be something special. Find out more and book your spot at www.gromgames.co.uk
