Maxence Parrot has got his 2013/2014 competitive season off to a strong start by winning the Monster Energy Shred Show Big Air with his backside triple cork 1440. Although nobody could match the triple dipper on the day it was certainly no walk in the park for Max:
I was kinda nervous, I tried it in practice and didn’t land it, but with the pressure and the good crowd, everything came around and I stomped it perfectly so I was pretty happy!
Not to mention the fierce competition from the likes of last year’s winner Darcey Sharpe, slopestyle victor Emil Ulsletten and a whole host of other big guns including Sage Kotsenburg, Eric Willet and Kevin Backström.
In the end, Norwegian Kim Rune Hansen claimed second with a bolts switch backside 1260 while an American with one heck of a generic name – Justin Morgan – took third with a bolts switch backside double cork 1080.
