John Jackson Joins Signal Snowboards

We can officially confirm that big mountain freestyler and co-star of the Brain Farm films John Jackson has joined the Signal Snowboards team

Rumours have been flying around for a few weeks now, but now we can officially confirm that big mountain freestyler and co-star of the Brain Farm films John Jackson has joined the Signal Snowboards team.

He’s the latest in a long list of big names that have left the Burton global team over the last few years: Jussi Oksanen, Nicolas Muller and Jeremy Jones have all moved on this winter as the big B appears to be reshaping their marketing strategy, while Gigi Rüf, Kazu Kokubo, JP Solberg, Romain de Marchi, Fredi Kalbermatten, Keekan Valaika, Mads Jonsson and DCP are all still fresh in the memory.

The video that accompanies the official announcement from Signal and Dave Lee pulls focus towards the brand’s creativity, inherent in their famed Every Third Thursday series. It shows John in the factory building boards and even placing one of his own dreadlocks into the press, evidentially some new type of experimental core in development.

Signal’s move puts them alongside Arbor, who are also currently in the process of expanding their team, and it’ll be interesting to see who else – if anyone – they snap up in one of the liveliest industry team shake ups we’ve seen in a while. It’s like the Premier League or something this year!

Anyway, we’ll stay tuned for the next episode of ETT, if we know John Jackson at all it’ll be sure to have a Rasta-based theme… Reggae Reggae Sauce board anyone?
