After riding their kit for two years as an independent rider, Jamie Anderson has finally caved in and signed for Gnu Snowboards. After stomping the competition at both Dew Tour stops, the O’Neill Evolution and the Burton European Open in Laax, all on a Gnu board, it only seemed fitting that she became the company’s first “Guest Pro”. Barrett Christy, Gnu Girl’s Team Captain, had only praise for Anderson’s decision:
“We are honored that Jamie chose to ride the Gnu B-pro for the last two years, while she was on the open market. Now we’re thrilled that she’s signed on as our first celebrity guest! We look forward to working with her to perfect our Gnu girls line.”
The Californian beau started off young, winning her first X Games title at the age of 15. Five years later, it’s hard to work out how she fitted in the time to win numerous #1 Female Rider of the Year awards and several X Games gold and silver medals. We’re pretty sure she was pulling a BS 720 out the womb to manage this at such a young age. Regardless, we’re happy for Jamie that she’s with a company that she really enjoys riding with. It looks like she’s going to need an extension on that mantlepiece.
