Gigi Rüf coming to London to premiere new Volcom film, 9191

Most of you will have heard that Gigi Rüf, the Austrian super shredder, is starring in a new Volcom movie this year (and if you haven’t, check out the sick-looking teaser now). Volcom have a history of producing some damned cool (if a little weird) movies, from 1995’s seminal work The Garden to Subjekt Haakonsen (the first superstar-focused shred flick) and later Luminous Llama and Escramble. They don’t come along every year – and neither does a talent like Gigi – so this new film is something to be savoured.

The UK premiere will take place at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square (not doing things by halves then!) on Tuesday 28th September 2010. We are reliably informed that Gigi himself will be in attendance. Here are the rest of the deets:

Doors: 7:15
Film Starts: 7:30
Tickets: £2
Seats are limited, so get in early to avoid disappointment.

There’ll be a Volcom snowboard up for grabs on the night (a top prize that – Volcom boards are not on general sale and are usually reserved for team riders) plus over 18’s can go to the afterparty – venue to be announced.
