Our friends over at Snowboarder MBM, the German shred magazine, have launched their annual ‘European Rider of the Year’ poll again recently, and guess what? There’s two Brits up for awards! Yep, that’s right, Aimee Fuller has been nominated in the ‘Rookie of the Year 2010’ category, and the UK’s golden girl Jenny Jones once again finds herself up for the ‘Female Rider of the Year’ award. Because they’re voted for by the public, these awards are pretty prestigious, and we reckon it’s high time our girls got the recognition they deserve. I mean c’mon, how many other ladies won two X Games golds’ in 2010? Exactly. Aimee has also been killing it recently, with a 5th place finish at the 6-star O’Neill Evolution in Davos, thanks to her suuuuper-stylish back three tail (check the video above).
To vote for your two favourite shredettes, head over to europeanrider.com. If you feel so inclined, you can also vote for Whitelines staffer Matt Georges in the ‘Photo of the Year’ category. Oh, and don’t just vote for Jenny and Aimee yourself, encourage all your mates to do the same. Let’s help our girls get the gongs!
