The Details:
Here’s a mellower offering aimed at women who like to enjoy the mountain through the gears, rather than constantly at top speed. The Burton Stiletto is no shrinking violet though, and has the potential to open doors for the right rider.
Everything about the Stiletto has been designed with comfort at the forefront, and with weight saved wherever possible.
On the Re:Flex version, the baseplate has a fully padded layer that sits over the binding disc, while the EST version has lightweight EVA cushioning. It’s also been specifically engineered for women, from the asymmetrical highbacks to the 3D straps.
Most of the specifics won’t be obvious to the naked eye, and you can argue that the differences from the men’s stuff aren’t hugely significant, but Burton’s track record with female-specific kit tells you all you need to know about the care and attention they give to the little details. Whatever they’re doing, it’s been working.
Stiletto bindings are ripe for buttering around the blue runs one day, then cutting the corners through the pow the next. Plus they’ll keep your feet happy, regardless of the conditions.
