Whilst those lucky enough to be in Oregon or Whistler for the summer gear up for some fun in the sun shred times at HCSC, Windells, Camp of Campions et all, those not across the pond shouldn’t count themselves out of having a bit of early morning slush boarding before the sun burns out the run ins.
France has Deux Alpes and Tignes, Austria Hintertux and Italy a whole host, but the place where summer riding comes closest to being like that of Mt Hood is Folgefonna in Norway. Witness the radness.
Fonna has an annual summer camp teaching young guns the way of the shred, but it also plays host to a rad bunch of local park shapers and camp coaches including a few Brits – last year Charlie Row and Jonny Pickup both were lucky enough to kick it back there.
The local Skandis are about the most fun to watch though, check out the edit they’ve just dropped, chock full of rad jib maneuvers to set your rail pulse a-going.
Summer may be here, but it doesn’t have to be all about mountain biking…
